Question... did E-Boat crews wear the same leather that U-Boat crews wore?

A variation of protective leather uniforms were universal thoughout the KM and were actually employed more broadly by the the surface fleet than the U-Boot's

They wore the same grey and black leather jacket and pants that other KM units did, including u-boot crews. Since much of the s-boote action was at night towards the end of the war, I would assume the black leather garment was used more.
