Aren't these Luftwaffe tropical pants? I don't know if they were made in hbt, but the cut is very similar.

i have seen the leg bottoms on with buckels like that on Italian pants if that is any help to you

These pants in the image are clearly UK Denim sets...and have nothing to do with the HBT pants that started this thread.

I agree its a Luftwaffe tropical pattern style, but a variation made in HBT. I also vote LW!

Yeah nice image taken in Italy of KM tropical personnel wearing tropical attire including similar pants !
These baggy LW pattern pants with thigh pockets and ankle buckles were also very popular with KM and Heer troops...(mostly in smooth cotton)
So OK for those displays as well.
