Hi Ron,
Please post away. Your eagle shield appears to be different than the G.B. 41 marked shield. The prongs are different and the details to the front including the black finish are a little different. Neat stuff and I love your large pith eagle too.

Hi Ron,

Very interesting shields! Your tri-colour shield does appear to be the same as the one posted previously by "danpower" except that the raised circles are obscured by the solder. But interestingly, the pins are soldered on in the opposite orientation from the GB41. Note how your unmarked eagle shield is very similar to the GB41 eagle -- they look like they're from sister dies but with the differences of the date and the mounting circles for the pin ends. I wonder if the unmarked pair could be "GB40"s, and Brehmer only incorporated the dates on later years' production?
