Hey Laurence, This is a very nice post 1940 embroidered enlisted private purchase eagle. I have a KM in this pattern and just purchased a earlier,on dark green, Coastal Artillery eagle which hasn't arrived yet.

I like this one alot and have seen it on alot of CA tunics.

I would say that it is like this one from my collection
