I have a original ship's bell from the SS Hamburg. But i have no idea of the navy stuff. I only know that the SS Hamburg was used from german navy in 1940 till 1945. here are some informations http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Hamburg_%281926%29

Is this a interesting Item for a collector ?

    Hello ssvt:
Sounds like an interesting item. I would love to
see photos of your bell. Does it have the Nazi
eagle and ship's name on it? I have several USN
ship's bells, but never had to pay much for them.

Those are quite interesting and definately a collectors item. I have a few U-boat bells, never seen any surviving post war bells belonging to civilian collections from surface Kriegsmarine fleet vessels.
          Very nice indeed.

You might know this OFW: What ever happened to or does anyone have any examples of Minesweeper Eagles that would be outside of the wheelhouse?

          Regards,
          JustinG

nice threat... the bell comes from the near of wilhelmshaven (30 km away). but like i wrote... the ship was a civilian one and jused 5 years from german navy. so that is the reason that there is no hakenkreuz or something like this on it....
