Jens, early, probably used until 1933-1934, Radio telegrapher specialty trade insignia, not included in the KM list of authorized insignias. I have these two shown in Germanpolice'sphoto (link) in my collection. Included in my book in page 115.

I have had a look on the photo. Another interesting thing is the Flugmelde Laufbahn Abzeichen that the Sailor is wearing is made in Red . I guess it wasn't considered a career badge at the particular time, but a specialist badge instead.

It could be interesting to see a list of the Specialist badges that the Reichmarine used to wear.

Hi,

Very interesting to see non standard colors on these patches.
I noticed these two patches for sale over at ebay.de.
Don't know if they are genuine or not but both are non standard patches.

Both badges are genuine and made by the firm Thiele & Steinert.When you have a close look at the backside of both badges the labels say : Farbe falsch , which means wrong colour.

I think both badges is a failure's made by the manufacturer. What they are worth is hard to say, but I do think that the seller is pretty expensive with all of the badges he selling.
