    A KM Rookie, proper introduction

    Hello Gentlemen,

As a rookie in collecting Kriegsmarine, I tought it might be better to introduce myself to you guys out here. Three years ago I started collecting 14. SchiffsStammAbteilung items, I grew a photocollection that's over 200 single pictures and some albums. As long as the photos kept comming I bought the first cloth items, first a Breda made Tellermutze, since then I'm hooked!

In a short period of a year now I started collecting Kriegsmarine, allongside my other interests, for the moment it's the fastest growing part in my collection.

Here is a shot of my favorit two uniforms.

In my short 6 years of collecting, I started at an age of 20, the Kriegsmarine is my favorite, also due to the strong connection to my hometown.

    Kind regards,
    Michiel

Hello Michiel, really nice collection you have gathered in 6 years. My favorites are the KM leather jacket and the KM tellermutze that was made in your home town.

Thanks you both and all for watching.

I showed a few from my collection in the pfeife topic, but these three are all bought from the owners family. They seem good to me, note the slight differences in details.
        the three togheter:

        the lanyards, and in detail:

        the mouthpieces:

the left one is claimed to be owned by a sailor (she couldn't remember the rank of her grandather) who was allready in service in the early 30's. The middle and right are wartime.
the belly, note the slight differences:

the left mouthpieces correlates with the pfeife on top. The top and bottom ones are alike.
(note, to diplay the top pfeife bether, I used a recent ebay won item, a very nice sweethearts necklace with sharp photo)

Very nice. Interesting to see the small photo of the KM sailor. Quite a collection.
