I'm thinking they be Med. or tropical. I think the blue tress and green backing is prof. This is an educated guess. Dave.

Eric, I have seen this kind of tress before, it remembers me WW1 Kaiserlischemarine blue tress. From pictures I like them, but they are very rare, made in olive green that was not used in tropical KM uniforms.

Those shoulderboards are for use on the tropenuniform.
The only interesting thing is that those shoulderboards normally are made from "braunen tropenstoff". But as we al now, due lack of materials they used many colors and materials. How later we come in the waryears how rougher some items have been made.

The rank is Obermaat, and his profession was Fernschreiber. So the wearer was a Fernschreiber obermaat.

You own two very nice KM shoulderboards.

Sorry guys, but these are IMO fake boards. You can find pairs like this once a month on German ebay. There exist also really better fakes.
