A few more birds

Hi guys

A few new items to share on the "KM Birds" front. Sorry if the are summer metal birds (again) but I seem to have gotten hooked on those thanks to this thread and besides, there are so many nice variations around that it makes it an interesting item to collect if you like birds I'll post the front picts here and the back picts in the next post since I'm not sure whow to fit them all in the same post

First is a matched worn set of gold and silver eagles which appear to be made of cupal. Dont know the maker but I have also seen those large oval plates behind the hinge and catch on a cupal luft summer eagle 2n pattern

I have already posted a set of the second type eagles (also by an uknown maker to me anyway) pictured here in a previous post on this thread (post 39) . The first (post 39) set is excellent but I really lucked out by finding this second set over the past few months which is in absolutely mint condition. The silver specimen appears to be cupal and has a newe silver finish with polished highlights and the more common crimped hardware on the back. The gold piece looks like tombac with what appears to be firegilding with polished highpoints. I beleive the gold one to be an earlier variant by this maker: notice the more fragile hardware welded directly on the back it is also only 1/2 the thickness of the silver version so its a rather fragile bird. Still, from the front, they make a beautiful set with the kind of finish I had only seen on decorations so far
