M40 Kriegsmarine helmet from Porsgrunn, Norway

Hi everyone,

My name is Scott and I am a helmet collector. I have begun to specialize in Kriegsmaine helmets, and have about 10 at the moment.

Here is a helmet I found by placing a newspaper ad in Norway in 2008. I bought it from the grand-daughter of the man who found it laying outside of a small naval installation in Brevik, just outside of Porsgrunn. I think this helmet was unissued at the time. I do not believe it ever had a chinstrap attached to it.
