any input on this uniform? currently considering purchase, but am a bit concerned about no provision for a dagger hanger through the pocket, and that all insignia is bullion but the stars are celleon. no labels inside , just ic 2 ribbon in butonhole and some loops for a badge and ribbonbar. any input is greatly appreciated.

Doesn't look bad so far, but need some more photos. Mixture of bullion and celleon not uncommon and no need to worry about lack of dagger hanger slit.

I agree with the comments above and I too have often seen the insignia mixture. Daggers I think were generally are at least often suspended underneath the the tunic.

Usually the backing was trimmed from around the star points, but not always as I have seen several period photos where it was not done like on this jacket.

Yes that's right there are some some period pics with stars how has not been trimmed but these are in the minority i would say 5%

Original jacket but i think that the insignias has been put together maybe the tresses belongs original to the tunic but i have mine doubts (look how these tresses has been sewn at the lining). There are a lot of TR reefer jackets without a opening through the lining no problem as far as i know
