KM Ship's Speed Dial? ID Help Pls.

Hey guys:

I bought a batch of stuff and this thing was in the box... I'm guessing it is one of those dials off of a speed indicator for a ship? German obviously... Everything else in the batch is WWII related, so I'm wondering if this is off of a KM ship.

It is called a 'Telegraph Repeater' plate.

It is German out of an 'S' boat perhaps. Looks similar to a one in a picture I have seen.

I don't know whether it is original or not, but it can't be a S-Boat since they neither have an Elektromotor nor can they dive.
