    Prinz Eugen tally offered.

    Greetings,
These tallies are so very scarce. I believe this to be a good variation.

It got too expensive for me. Thought I would post this for others.

    Best of luck

May be good but the pictures are kind of distant and blurry so you can't be sure, and also the vendor says "no guarantee or exchange". 1.87 metres sure seems long doesn't it?
Hard to take a chance at those prices, and I'd certainly be nervous at those prices under the circumstances. I can see why you decided to pass, but it must be kind of stressful always wondering what if....
    Best regards,

I wasn't too sure. This one does seem to appear to be one of the better quality reproductions if it is a reproduction. If some member here does end up getting this tally, It would be nice to see a posting and some better pictures.
Yes, That price is pretty steep so far. However, if real.... I will be doing this!
The stitching seems to be in the same manner as the accepted originals. However, with such distant photos. (Thanks for posting Norm)
I agree with you. I couldn't take that risk.

      JustinG

Hehe been looking long and hard at this one as well

Like you guys I can't make up my mind whether it's good or not. Was wondering like Norm about the length but could be a typo?

The uneven ends is another one but maybe that's just ghosts after seeing Jody's Belfast tally....?

Anyway, too much money to throw after a maybe could be

          Ebay Prinz Eugen tally closed.

So, was the winner a member on the forum.
If this was real, this was a steal.

I am curious. If so, please post.

IMO the seller made a mistake, comparing it with tallies 155 cms it seems that length or a little smaller. The thread is cellon IMO in perfect condition.

The buyer did get it quite cheaply.

            Two lessons:

            1. Ask questions from the seller. They usually respond. Often they have made a mistake and then, they rarely fix the mistake on the listing, making it better for you, the bidder.

            2. Get better images if they have them.

            3. If you feel there is any doubt about the seller, get another image with a pencil or pen in the image. However, in all my years of buying on ebay, not once has a seller not had the tally.

One other point just in case somebody here did buy it and now is worried, tallies can be found in lengths up to 195cms. "Normally" worn tallies are 110-115cm and issued tallies around 155cm but they can be of much greater length.

No matter the length, this tally was a perfect example of a cellon Prinz Eugen tally.

Remember, the Belfast tally if not cut to the letters, is a maximum of 100 cms. John
