M.G. Wilhelm Gustoff Cap Tally?

Would this be a cap tally from the Wilhelm Gustoff? It is part of a grouping offered to me from a veterans family. This is the only current picture I have, the tally is full length. I have done research and found that the Wilhelm Gustoff was the largest known single ship maritime disaster as it was sunk by Soviet torpedos in 1945. Can anyone confirm that this is a cap tally and is it a common item? Thanks, Ron
