        Good Afternoon all,

        apologies for bringing up this old thread but didn't think the need to start a new one.
        I was recently very kindly gifted this KM towel from a relative who told me that his Dad picked this up whilst he was serving with a Canadian Medical Unit in Europe sometime from 1944-1945.

        I made a few searches online and it was what brought me to this forum, and this thread in particular. The example I have is in fairly good (albeit dirty, but untouched) condition and is only my second item of German militaria I have. (the 2nd being a German FWW postcard found by another distant relative serving with the Canadian Army, from a CCS in 1918)

        I see there are some examples with blue stripes and others with different images at each end of the towel. Does anyone know the significance of this?
