U-boat arm band

Hello - a dealer lended me this item, and I have never seen one of these before, so I hope someone here knows what it is? Is it a fake, or genuine? My guess is that if it is genuine it might be something for the dock workers or civilian suply personel to wear. Secondly, it it is okay, is it worth any thing? He wants 200 USD for it.

A dock worker would not have an armband dedicated to a specific u-boat. The fuzzy stamp seals the deal and screams fantasy.

This is just one example of many newly made both reproduction and fantasy stitched lettering armbands with bogus stamps soaked in tea to discolor the white armband (they still glow like stadium lights under UV!). There are currently a few of these on Ebay as an example. Stay away and save your money for known originals. Chris
