My KM Refer Tunic

Nice KM Tunic Steve, I have some KM items, refer jacket like yours, mess dress and some headgear. KM in my opinion is under rated. Got a os cap for yours if interested. Looks like there loops for a nice badge. Got a minesweeper on mine, looks nice. Anyway again, very nice tunic to restore .

Steve, that is a nice sailor peajacket . You can find the collar tabs without problems to restored it, and also you can find a sailor cap or a bord cap very easy, IMO it looks better with the sailor cap.

The Reefer was an Officers tunic from what my books say

I'm a Army grunt and don't know much about Navy stuff or jargon. I was a Navy brat growing up but I was drawn to the Army as a career.

If any one knows where I may find tabs and a over seas hat please let me know.

hello. nice tunic. does that tag say "Hanstein"?? is it a name tag, or a maker tag? my greatgranddads last name was Hanstein, but he was a WH medic. but he had brothers... but then again Hanstein may be a commen german name....

The tag is a name tag indeed. You never know, this guys jacket could have belonged to one of your family members?

I'm shocked that this tunic is getting as much attention as it is. I didn't think there were that may KM collectors on this forum?

Thanks. I will try and ask my grandmother if any on her uncles was in the KM.
Her family was from Schleswig-Holstein, so a sailor wouldent be be to improbable.
