    Junghans Kriegsmarine clock - info?

I have a friend whose grandfather brought this clock home from Europe after WWII ended. He was a US Army officer, since deceased. The clock face is about 6 inches in diameter. Her grandfather built the case in which the clock is mounted. I am trying to help this friend understand more about the background of this clock.

I have contacted the clock manufacturer, Junghans, but have not yet heard back from them.

Any information would be appreciated … for example, likely use: office, surface ship, U boat.

Best regards and thank you in advance for any information.

Original Kriegsmarine clock. The movement is the same calibre (W 146) like mine has. Also the printed eagle on the dial is original.

Hi Florian, many thanks for your reply & link. Does the W 146 movement have any special significance such as date of manufacture or use? I have much to learn in this area. Thanks, Doug Walt
