35” R.Fuess Berlin-steglitz Barometer with M/Eagle question

Hello all,

Not sure is if the right forum, but I am thinking the “M” is for Kriegsmarine so I am posting here.

I have searched the internet for hours trying to find information on this R.Fuss Berlin-Steglitz 35” barometer and have come up with nothing. Would like to know if anyone has any information on when and where something like this would be used? I have seen barometers before, but nothing this large.

Thank you glaser, for the confirmation on the "M", that helps a lot.

I will keep searching on the manufacture and hopefully will find detail information on the unit i.e. years of manufacture, how many where made etc.
