    Opinions on 1937 helmet

    Hi friends
I bought this helmet many and many years ago in Barcelona.
Could it be sent to the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War?
    Any information will be welcome
    thanks
    Eduard

Can't help you with this question (sent to the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War?) but looks like a good early M35 re-issued Helmet with a very nice dome stamp. We really need better over all pictures. Also need complete pics of the chinstrap and liner. From what I can see on the liner it may be good.

Nice original M35 with period repaint. All looks untouched to me.
Looks like at first it was army helmet which later was used by LW ( LBA marked chinstrap would confirm that ).

Legion Condor helmets were only blue-grey and devoid of any maker's markings for understandable reasons; the green ones were export M35 for the Spanish Army.
I have both examples, being the green one, minty unissued from a Spanish Army depot.

As noted in the Baer helmet reference about 225,000 of the first M35’s went to fill outside foreign contracts. I think many were unmarked shells however when inspecting ET’s early examples one would expect to see the serifed shell stamp. The helmet shown here is later.

                            Robt.
