tantiques53 selling fake helmets on Ebay.

The reserve was not met , but this seller is selling a burlap c /wire camo which is an obvious fake as an original on Ebay. More than likely that they will re-list it soon. Appears to list lots of item kind of like the ones we see from Latvia and other eastern European countries. Be careful of this one if you are looking at their items. They use a S.C ., u.s.a , address but are they really there or are in Latvia? Seller is tantiques53, 230 feedbacks, one negative. So that means over 200 people taken by their fakes.....

      Hi,

with the help of helmet guy, please find this glorious fake camo wire helmet.

      https://www.ebay.com/itm/WW2-German-...-/123851937519

Nice move by the seller though : I am not a licensed dealer or collectioneer and can not give you Certificate of Authenticity. ^_^

You will also notice a "strange" and very high bid ($1,234) that was removed before the end of the sale, which may have been put by a fake account of the seller...

      See You

For the experienced eye rather easy to see it as fake.
The new collectors hopefully receive fair warning.

Thanks Vince for making this post of the actual Ebay listing. To try to keep this hobby as clean as possible, we should all be calling out these vendors of fake TR items and helmets. They are no longer just operating out of eastern Europe, but as in this case, are right next door. They will end up screwing new and less knowledgeable collectors who will end up discouraged and drop this hobby, which will have lasting and a long term effect on all of us especially when it comes time for us to sell our collections.

They also sold fake splinter pattern sniper masks, and camo mittens. Just check their completed items list and feedback. Some of their buyers are "very pleased" with the fakes that they bought.

The listing should say "Liner shows use and wear consistent with FAKES"

I believe that the item didn't sell for the highest bid of $355, check the listing, the reserve price wasn't met. Waiting to see if they relist it.

He's looking for a sucker to pay the big bucks....that will make his time worthwhile. The more unknowing collectors dish out big $$$ for these fakes, the more it encourages the fakers to keep on faking.
