Considering the role of the Küstenartillerie and that they operated from fixed fortifications, why would they have needed camouflage painted helmets? Does anyone have a photograph of them wearing such helmets?

There are plenty of pictures of Atlantikwall soldiers with camo helmets.
This is a well known example.

Here is GI souvenir that is likely from the Atlantic Wall that I have in my collection.
Remember also that soldiers were in various positions around these structures, in trenches, etc.

Küstenartillerie
Here is a Heer helmet from Norway. It is the same color as one found at a Heer coastal battery in that country. Remember Heer batteries were usually artillery pieces in emplacements rather than in fortified bunkers.
This one used to be in my collection.
Here is its saltier twin. It appears lighter because whitewash was applied over the grey paint:
