On another note , would I be right in saying because it is an M40 with a low lot number, meaning early 1940 production ? Does this mean it is more likely to be issued to one of the main ss regiments Like Lssah, Totenkopf , Reich or wiking ?
Just thinking as I assume maybe to early in the war before the less desirable foreign ss regiments were formed ???
