What would an authentic (as in not from ebay ) double decal Waffen SS helmet on either an M35 or M40, with both decals at least 95% and the field-grey finish cost? I know the price will probably give me the bends but one of those has been on my wish list for a long while. Thanks.

And for both, be prepared to roll out the G's - as in 6K plus!

Although much rarer, the last couple times I've seen a M40DD WSS for sale it was in line with what a M35DD WSS would fetch.

Every helmet is a little different and some with a more desirable look than others but ballpark with everything 95% will be over $5K.

I've seen so-so M42 SD SS helmets go for $3500. So an M35/40 that's 95% or better would be way over $6k IMHO.
