I would personally valued it (because of the different decals and their placement) from 1500 to 2000$.

As far as I am concerned, this helmet, if it is "100%" is quite rare and very interesting. It should be worth more than a standart mdl 40 that you can find plenty of. I would also think it resonable for this helmet to be worth at least as much as a standart mdl 35 DD. Anyways, it is the highest payer who fixes the value.

Perfect DD heer helmets are bringing thousands. The individual that started this thread is the only living soul who knows the story behind this...the rest of the collecting world is/are skeptics. The non-standard decals, paint spatter, liner, etc all weed out the number of prospective buyers.

Actually the highest value is sentimental since his grandfather brought it back from the war. I would never sell it and most wouldn't believe anyway.

The more controversial the more difficult to sell, this applies to all German Militaria.

Interesting that the "Strache" is on the traditional side which I would favor but then it was broken in areas upon application. Both with no laquer. The other looks like the plain EF decal. This is a interesting one. I feel $350 would take a bold collector or one willing to spend that or more to explore this one.

                Still a nice helmet

That is the first helmet I have seen with two army decals on it. Since your uncle took it home, there isn't any question as to whether it is authentic (assumming he did not add the second decal). I don't have a clue as to the value, but certainly over the $400 dollar mark.
