Thr ruptured duck, helmet dry up?

I just went to the ruptured duck website; and saw that there are virtualy no helmets for sale. Any one know why? Was there a massive surge of buyers?

I have noticed it too, and think it is a lack of fresh offered helmets

At the SOS Bill bought about 40 helmets from another collector. Not one of those helmets ever graced Bill's website. My assumption is that they are all sold behind closed doors so no need to list them.

Bill has been away on vacation, he went soon after the SOS, I'm sure he will be listing some of the SOS helmets in the near future. Tim.

I don't know about that, but check out some other sites and you'd see that they don't have much to offer in helmets either. Nobody does.

My opinion, SS helmets and SS daggers are super hot! Someone mentioned about Mr. Shea's high prices for SS daggers (still on his site) but yet, they are all on hold.

As the "game" goes, there is only a finite amount of quality items out there.....And at the risk of sounding like a clique, they aren't making this stuff (original pre45) any more.... Bodes

There are more collectors, many with big money to spend and fewer quality top shelf items for sale. The prices of hard to find items have gone up in leaps and bounds over the last ten years and will continue to do so. Tim.

Bill has added a couple of new helmets to his site. Tim.

if you're after a particular helmet type let Bill know. When he lays his hands on one it wont hit his listings first. I think he also wanted to run down his stock, some helmets had been listed for sometime.

He has a M42 SD SS if anyone is interested, battle damaged though.

Not that I have ever bought a helmet from Bill Shea, or any other online dealers, or dealers short. I was just wondering what was hapening.

Collecting is for our personal pleasure, and each can do as he likes. I personaly LOVE battle damaged items, and perfer a battle damaged helmet any day. That is, real battle damage, not souvenir battle damage.
