German WWII Reissued Helmet Liner Brown Dyed

Original German WWII Reissued Helmet Liner Brown Dyed. Leather liner is original, but dyed brown post war an reissued in Norway? Can the brown dye be removed? Just wondering if there was something to do to these liners? Many thanks for any opinions.

Typical Norway dye job. It can be removed ( seen a lot of liner with removed brown dye ) , but won't help you what exacly remover could be used ( I was wondering myself ).

I honestly would not bother changing the liner any more. The end result will never look fully original and you only chance damaging the leather.

Nobody had a solution or tried to remove this dye before? Just asking, I know it will not look 100% original, but it would be nice to remove the dye.

You can remove some of the dye with acetone but you will most likely not get it all off. JMO.
