Awesome - I am VERY jealous! And the Flak Badge looks like it is the ball-hinge? Super!

The badge is a typical very high-quality nickel-silver ball-hinge Flak badge! these were thought to be early and are super quality. My Opa got his in very early 1942 and it was this maker. I wish I had a cap like this to add to my collection - superb!
                    Thanks,
                    Marc

Hi Richardo, I hope you don't mind me commenting, but I do have some serious concerns regarding the cap.

The cut of the cap I feel is suspect and lacks the seams to the top usually observed. Coloured piping is normally associated with the pre war period. The use of the RB number system was not introduced until 1943. The numbers are normally found with four digit groups of numbers and not three as shown. I feel the cap has been constructed using old materials.

                      Cheers, Ade.

In 48 years of collecting, the only Luftwaffe schiffen I have ever encountered with branch piping around the rim of the upturn was in brown and that was for nachrichten helfrin. The helfrin hats also lack the national colors. This cap does not follow patterns of any known original example. If you can, return it for a refund. do so.

For me it is not possible return....it was of my father this overseas...it brought of souvenir of the War.

There are definitely other piped overseas caps out there besides the signals helferin caps. I believe that Angolia has a photo of an example in wear in his books. He also cites to the order permitting them to be worn. That being said, I think that they should be private purchase examples. Here are a few that I've encountered over the years (blue, yellow, black and red). No markings in any other than sizes:
