    Tim, can you see through the opened front seam of the lining if the stitches holding the eagle on go right through the cap?

    It's interesting that you say it has no real value, I'd actually rather have one in this condition than a mint one any day of the week! I love it

      Like Ben, I like this cap very much. To me it has much more appeal than a mint example which (might) has sat in a warehouse.

          The I did look under the liner. I can see the zigzag and handsewn stitches on the inside of the cap wool (stitching dose not go into the liner). Take care.

            I like that M43! Thats the kind of cap I will be looking for to my Luftwaffe greatcoat later on!
