Opinions wanted on M-35 reissued SS

Gentlemen, I believe the basic helmet itself is legit, however I am not very good at judging SS decals. All opinions welcome, Regards, Ron.

decal is bogus and the leather looks bogus as well.

It's a pigskin liner. The liner has been in there forever, the split pins are unmessed with.

Agree with Frank about the decal, it is bogus for sure. Liner has an odd look to it but could be original.

              Cheers,
              Terry

Yeah. I think if you removed the decal, you would have a nice helmet. The liner is stiff with age as you would expect. Thanks, Ron.

Pigskin liner in an m35 is supicious no matter a reissue.

The chinstrap is probably a replacement. What do you base your condemnation of the liner on?

                          Experience.

You are looking to spend over $1000 on a reissue with a bad decal, suspicious liner and a bad strap?

I don't even know why you are chasing this helmet any further because of the decal alone. You remove the decal and there will always be a shadow of it. It will just not disappear.

You can not polish a turd

But hey, if you want to toss your money away who's me to stop you.

I have no intentions of buying it and never did. I posted it for the hellavit. I believe it is a legit rework that someone added a phony decal to. You still haven't come up with a sound reason why a rework could not have a pigskin liner. I have had at least two M-42 single decal Heers with pigskin liners. If you are going to condemn something, at least give an informed reason.

You just answered your own question.
