Yep, that liner is fine. Correct felt pad and markings are not what I'd expect on the reproductions.

It is more than a little irritating to find that the repop guys have picked this same marking to use for their stuff-it just casts a lot of suspicion on authentic items. Thanks for taking a look at it, and calming me down a bit. I've stayed out of collecting German militaria precisely because it is such a minefield like this, but I had wanted at least one example of a helmet. I'll stick with stuff I know is totally safe, like US Airborne helmets and medic helmets on eBay.

Hay Boytt. I've seen the repro liners. Felt is pure white. Draw string fake as a $3.00 bill. Yours has NO look of the repro's.
