Do these decals look OK?

Picked up this M35 helmet today in a trade on a 98k rifle I was selling. The buyer of my rifle asked if I would lower the price of the rifle by 25.00 if I took the helmet, so I did. I assumed at the time of the deal that the decals were reproductions. The interior of the skirt is marked SE 64 and 7960. The helmet looks like it was brush painted over it's original coat of paint. They look a little off to me. I think I would pass in my opinion.

The exterior paint lacks any natural aging or patina....The tri-color looks as though it was painted over and then summarily "liberated".....Just doesn't feel right.... Bodes

I think you guys are misunderstanding me. I lowered the cash price of the rifle by 25.00 to take the helmet. So the helmet cost me 25.00. I still received cash for the rifle.

Jim, I believe you did okay....Like Ty stated, $25 was a steal.....I've seen larger repainted ones (size 68-70 shells) sell for around $200....Reenactors like these because of their larger size.....Yours is a smaller shell size but worth considerably more than the $25 credit you got towards the purchase of your rifle....Bodes
