    I don't like it!

The decal for me is not a good one.
I think that is good that the member before buy something in e-stand ask to the other some opinion if not sure.
Is possible reserve the item and take it in discussion forum.
I'm no happy to see this things in the e-stand.

I don't think I have ever seen that bird before. Everything looks fairly good on the decal except one thing.

My biggest concern is the interior wear verse the exterior condition.

I would like to hold that one and look at it under a loop, but that decal exibits several things that it should for an NS decal. It's possible that there is some unseen damage, or other anomile that the photo expounds to produce a unique looking decal and thus hiding what I'm looking for.

            NS Eagle on army helmet

            Hello,

Looks OK to me for a NS army eagle.

Photos from the seller are too small to really appreciate the condition.

Liner doesn't looks original to the helmet OR seems to have been oiled..

Below some photos of mint army M.40 NS66, batch 0102 to compare.

            All the best,

            Philippe

              Closeup of eagle decal

              Hi everyone,
Here is a closeup of the eagle decal on the M40 I have on the E-Stand. I can't explain why the interior condition is the way it is. It looks like someone oiled it and the leather shrunk and pitted the inside. The outside is excellent though. I showed this helmet and the M34 Police to Bill Shea about 2 months ago and he said both were fine.

It does have very simular traits of a NS decal in many areas but at the same there's several areas where the lines are very poor and look "shody". It almost looks like the black shield was touched up or repainted where several areas overlaped the Adler giving the very poor appearance, otherwise I can't explain it other than the photo itself. Philippe's is a much more "healthy" decal that causes no concern.

The inside does look to be a mismatch.

The head is very closed to NS model, but, really, I have seen a lot of army helmets, but never seen this type of eagle, maybe an UFOBIRD?

Here is the decal on my NS. This was an indirect Vet pickup.

                              Hi

It seems that there are some variations in NS decals.
Here is one that look very much like the one on the e-stand helmet.

And the second one is from my NS decal, not the same as the first and not the same as Glenns if you ask me.
