M42 SS Opinions

Is this an original SS decal? On an M42 helmet. Thanks very much for your opinions.

To me looks like high quality round bottom reproduction decal

My first gut reaction was a round bottom fake as well, but it's a very good one. Also, notice how the chipping on the very bottom deceives the eye to seeing more of an angle than there is.

Hoping to see some other opinions.
