What are your thoughts of this black transitional helmet? It is an ET with a 1931 dated liner.

Its a reissued helmet for german fire fighters. Here are mine in comparison. They all came out of a closed fire fighting department.

They are black in and out. Both decals are ghosting at some points but i wont strip them. Sorry Alex for the interruption, its your thread and helmet we should discuss!

Makes it more interesting , it could have period paint. But it will be hard to authenticate. Black Transitional helmets were used by the SS (with unpainted crowns) but it seems a lot of these were Austrian shells with three pad liner.
Bahnschutz also used them and I have a Heer like that.
