M35 Heer marked "Musikkorps"

Showing here a recent acquisition which I classify as a single decal M35 combat helmet with separately added grommets; rolled rim; M35 "D" rings and an original silver Heer decal on the left side. There is no sign of a tri-color shield on the right side, but the helmet appears to have been repainted and may be a re-issue done around 1940. The 8-finger leather liner with drawstring and the leather chinstrap (no markings apparent) remain supple and intact. On the left inside of the skirt is stamped "Q64" with the numerals "761" stamped on the rear inside. Three words carefully added on the rear inside of the skirt (partly illegible) read: "P.. Regt (?) Musikkorps".

Probably from Denmark or Norway since it has "musikkorps" written innside,

Thanks for your feedback, "Knigge". I am fascinated by your comment. Can you please explain why you think that the lettering leads you to believe that the helmet is "Probably from Denmark or Norway"?

Musikkorps is the Norwegian and Danish Word for Music band or marching band, and the only two countrys that use that Word, at least as i know about

This is proving to be an interesting helmet and discussion which I would like to pursue.

If the lettering is as "Knigge" states, must it be assumed that the helmet was used in Norway or Denmark by a German Heer band member there during wartime? If so, why might that lettering have been added there?

Also, can anyone comment on whether the term "Musikkorps" was used by Germans during wartime, which could also suggest that this term and lettering might have been added in Germany?

Hopefully some of the German helmet enthusiasts on the Forum can shed some more light on this matter.
