"Ost" helmet evaluation

Sirs,

I turn to you for assistance in evaluating the authenticity/value of this helmet which I just recently received from a friend overseas. I am not into helmets, long story short, the only thing I know is that this supposedly was used by russians serving in the Wehrmacht. Any further information is appreciated.

Sorry, but the decal is not convincing. It looks like a fake BF eagle. An attempt to looks like a well used one....

I believe it to be a fake. So value = 0

I too, think the decal is fake.

I agree it is all bad. Manufactured rust, fake decal and markings. Interior looks fairly clean compared to exterior.

i think someone ruined an Ost helmet with a fake decal.
