DAK M40 For Review

Hey everyone!
I am going to pick up this DAK tonight and wanted a few more opinions.
So far I haven't heard a negative comment, but all opinions are welcome.

The backround is that my buddy picked it in the Jersey Shore area and it was won in a poker game back in the 1960's from the previous owner. Never been in a collection.

Looks like there may have been the start of some decal digging some point in time, luckily the idiot that had done it realized it was only damaging it and stopped if that's the case
