Very interesting history on this helmet.

Altough I don't think this is a tan camo, I've found this picture of an ostvolunteer wearing what appears to be a textured camo helmet.

Got this newspaper a few days ago: First issue, plublished by resistance on august 23rd 1944 in the exact area where the helmet was liberated, relating the fights from the previous days.
