SS M42 - Opinions

This helmet was an eBay pick-up. It looked like a decent M42 with an interesting improvised camo cover. I discovered the decal when it arrived, something that hadn't been listed as part of the description. It is ckl marked.

What are your thoughts on the decal?

Well, the cover strap is from a Swiss breadbag. I'm not crazy about the decal either.

Thanks - at least I hadn't expected, or paid for, an SS helmet. A shame that the Swiss strap suggests the whole lot is dubious. My approach is to only pay what I can afford to lose and the money paid about 6 years back for this helmet has not been well spent!
