    Helmet net id help needed....

Hello helmet fans. Not that I think that this particular net is of German origin, but with SO many helmet enthusiasts here, I thought it might benefit me to post this net here for possible ID. It was a flea market find from last week. It's certainly not any US style I've seen...it has a heavier bottom "cinch" type woven cord at the base, however the individual "squares" seemingly lack the small knots at each angle...Light green in color with no other identifying features that I can ascertain. Does this type of net look familiar to anyone and if so, can you please enlighten me as to its origin and vintage? Many thanks in advance for any help. A few quick snaps below...

These are post war West German Bundeswehr.

Thanks Mikey. I will see if I can find other examples with which to compare it. Thanks again for the feedback.

Yes, certainly a fake. Some nice originals have been posted in the past so if you do a search on helmet nets, I think some will come up.

..a “fake” or simply post-war Bundeswehr issue, as was my understanding...?

            Milton,

These were used by the West German Bundeswehr on their M-1 looking helmets during the 60s and 70s

Thanks again Mikey. Appreciate it. I have a Bundeswehr helmet I souvenired back during my tenure in the service...perhaps I’ll add it to it for effect? Thx again for the id.

Net is not Bundeswehr, jacket is not Bundeswehr, Y-straps are not Bundeswehr (they are austrian) - so THIS is not a Bundeswehr-soldier. Maybee early reenactor, maybee "Wehrsportgruppe Hoffmann", but for sure not BW

The net is post-war Austrian, for the M58 helmet ( M1 clone)
