What Camo is this?

Hello I saw this helmet the other day and it has been bugging me. I haven't seen a camo as such but I believe the helmet is an M40.

I was hoping an expert could help me with this.

No, I am not stating it is original. I dont have much knowledge on the helmet. Why isn't it original?

It reminds me of the "turtle shell" camo seen on some Südfront helmets.

The shell is an M42 type. It has the raw edge. The camo paint is impossible to judge 100% from that one photo.

This helmet is absolutely fake and was sold as such on ebay US, just few weeks ago. The guy selling them, sells them as fake ( he does the painting himself and sold 2 or 3 of them recently, 2 turtle camo and 1 sand camo).
So to answer everyone, it is a fake.

Agreed, 100%. It is a pretty decent fake camo. The real question is, who is now selling this as an original camo? Please tell!!

I do not like this type of web sites nor the restorations they make. However one thing is clear. Their reproductions are reproductions, not fakes. They do not try to fool collectors at least...
