Sd heer helmet - yard sale find

Just got back from a Yard Sale in my area.
For the first time in my entire life I actually found a nice military item at a Yard Sale.
Heer it is, a nice SD Heer helmet.
Any thoughts on authenticity or comments on it would be appreciated.

Believe me I was shocked.
I had seen this guys add on CL and you could only see the back of the helmet in the photos so I didnt know if it even had a decal.
The seller buys stuff at storage locker auctions then re-sells on ebay.
He also has about 3-4 yard sales a year.
While I was there he was telling me that the locker where he picked up this helmet had a bunch of old US Army foot lockers that contained about 20 US M1 helmets, web gear etc.
The storage locker also had a bunch of M1 Garands.
He is going to give me a heads up on the US helmets and I may even get a shot at one of the Garands.
So all in all it was a good hook up for me.

BTW, can anyone give me an idea on value?
I want to know how I did price wise.
I checked out SVM and they have a couple in the $700-$800 range.

Amazing snag, not only for the helmet alone but as a contact for the future! That range is probably about right if not a little low -- it is a beautiful decal on a Q shell, with original liner and chinstrap. So I would say it would easily fit in this range or even higher.

Super find! tag sales are a great place to hand out cards and talk to people there about what you are looking for. Sometimes you will get a call months or years later.
