SS Helmet M43 decal ?? real or fake ?? Help

Hello Gentlemen,
What is the opinion on this M43 SS helmet decal? It looks good to me, but I cannot discern the differences in the good copies. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts.

Well, if this really is a fake then they are getting much better. It looks OK to me and it should be on an ET/ckl shell. Can you tell me the shell maker to confirm?

The shell appears to be stamped CYL 66 or maybe CXL 66?
If this decal is indeed fake, then this business has become very scary indeed!

Sounds like it's a ckl66 shell and the decal appears to be correct to me. I therefore have no problem with it. However, as with anything these days, digital images leave a lot to be desired and the true test of authenticity comes in-hand and with a loupe magnifier.

May I ask where you got this helmet? Those close-ups reveal a lot...unfortunately a lot of bad. If this is indeed a repro then "they" have the design and style down very well. It's a shame.

Hello Darryl,
I do not have this helmet. It is being offered for sale and I was trying to do some research on it. The seller says his father brought it home from WWII, but words can be hollow. I am a Heer uniform collector, and I find the SS arena to be very dangerous.

I don't want to give opinions on the originality of the helmet,but I want only to make to notice that, in two days........... two helmets SS.... two champagne decals ......... almost perfect conditions........ strange

I'm afraid some of you are confusing what we refer to as "champagne" decals to this one. This is not a champagne decal.
