So where is this helmet? The OP says it's "near" him in Southern California but in ebay auction the seller states it is in Connecticut.

The ebay seller says he has paperwork from Bill Shea proving it's real. Did Shea sell this helmet at one time? Isn't he a member here? If so he could confirm or deny the ebay seller's assertation and if it's true he could defend the helmet and his certificate.

FWIW it's worth I like the helmet. I have no problems with the colors.

The helmet is listed in the Los Angeles section on craigslist and the seller mentions the letter from Bill Shea there also..
