Dear Karl,
There were two Saarbrucken cap manufacturers by the name Lenzen. Yours and Johann Lenzen. Both were RZM approved makers of headgear.

Karl ..as far as the chinstrap goes..it seems to be a variation seen on the early to mid 1930s 34 35 36 non miltary Red Cross Rlb Stalhelm etc caps
