Dutch SS helmet?

I came across this helmet.. Whats your first opinion? Sorry the pictures are not that good, but I've asked for better ones

Hi Dennis,
Those helmets existed but my view is that it is impossible to give any judgement here. I can only say that the Dutch shield seems to have the right shape (although the colors seem to be too crisp ). Some better pictures would definitively help.

"Impossible" ? Not really : what i see from this SS decal is not very promising so far...

(yes I know, this comment is an exception to my rule ; but it's almost X-mas and I hope I will be forgiven. )

That's what I thougt.. .. didn't like the SS decal too.. I'm still waiting for the other pictures..

Far too much wear around the Dutch shield. Not saying it can't happen, but it appears the rust surface has been treated to look very old and uncared for. I'd bet if I took a clean white cloth, and rubbed it over the shield, I'd get a cloth full of orange. Old rust will not do that. Unless its a freshly dug relic. Besides, compair the interior rust to the exterior. Neck guard has the look of having years of wiping. Why spend years wiping the neck guard, and not the exterior?
Just a thought
