Relic M 42 SS

Hello Gentleman, I picked up this M 42 this past summer. The helmet is in sad shape
as you can see and someone sprayed it with WD-40. Its been months and the smell
of oil is just starting to fade.
I guess my question is.....what are your thoughts on the decal? I'm never sure when it comes to SS.







There is no trace of a maker or lot number to give any hints about the helmet...



...no matter what...it needed a home.

From these pictures, it appears that the decal has been applied on top of pitting and a gouge to the right of the decal ??......

That's a fake EF or Pocher copy decal.
