    m35 various overpaints :)

Hi I was visiting a place called Norfolk in the UK and my girlfriend dragged me in various antique shops ....I asked for militaria ...nothing ...then one old feller said I have been bought in a helmet by a young man who claims it was his grandads ....I paid peanuts for it ....seems to have original light green ...then darker green ..then white at some point not much left ...and traces of thick dark grey over bits of white ....under loupe can see sand in the final thick paint bits ....some reason in places the paint is completely gone to bare shell no sign of abbrasion even under loupe ...Paul m informed me he had seen this on other white /winter painted helmets ....regards Matt

Can't help you with the helmet...but I gotta ask...why are you photographing it over a toilet?

Fair enough! Lol. If you use the washroom as a studio...you could use a "backdrop"...like a piece of light coloured cardboard you lay over the toilet itself. It may provide you with more options - if you lay the item down on it instead of holding it...although I also like to hold certain items that I am trying to photograph.

Congrats. I remember a few years ago I too would use the john from time to time to photo. The lighting can be very bright lol

My brother lives in Norfolk....How come he didn't find that one for ME!!!!!!
It's an early m35 with applegreen paint under, single non reinforced alu ring and at least 3 overpaints, one being winter white-wash? camo and the last is a 40 shade, I'd say
