I need more opinions for this helmet.

I see white paint underneath the apple green paint.

More...The apple green paint outside is different from the inside of the helmet.

...The seller sells this helmet as a super helmet. I think it is repainted and new decals placed on it.

IT's a nice helmet but, It has been shellacked for sure... I think he mentioned that ??? It seriously effects the value IMHO.. but that's me.. not everyone.

Looks a nice helmet even with the varnish,I wouldn't say no to it

Nice early and in all parts a original helmet. This lid looks like clear lacquer overpainted
A nice helmet, but with clear lacquer and a heavy used liner is this not a high end price helmet.

the white could be anything ???
Not something that condemns the helmet.
It's a 100% good helmet.
Its was clear coated way back when I presume to preserve the
paint.. Not uncommon back in the day.
It affects value. Not a top $$ helmet anymore.
Cuts value in about 1/2 IMHO.

What else can it be ??? It is the first helmet apple green with white paint underneath I see.

over the years get spattered with paint.. White house paint.
Or get brushed up against something.. Not something to
worry about..

It's white wash remnants that have settled into the scuffs and nicks of the apple green paint. I don't think it's post war house paint splatter.

I think you're blind. The white paint is below the green.

Looks like white dust or paint ? the seller should clearly state its been varnished just to avoid a potential purchaser returning it because it wasn't mentioned . Rob

Possibly a reaction of the clear coat.
